Young to enter NFL Draft

Oaktown...Bush is bigger at 6'0/200 than either Tiki Barber or Warrick Dunn, who only made the Pro Bowl this past year...I wouldn't necessarily call him small.

And just because you think Leinart's an arsehole doesn't have anything to do with how he'll succeed in the NFL...so that's a WEAK argument.

Also--Young has some skills as a pocket passer, it's just that a lot of the time in college he was able to use his other skills to score. I think he's got a better all around passing game than guys like DJ Shockley, Chris Leak, or Marcus Vick. He's only got room to improve, especially if he gets with the right QB coach.

I think Bush will be fine he is a little bigger than some of the small backs in the leage and will probably get 10 to 15 pound bigger in the NFL. Speed is what set him apart on the collage level it will be interesting to see how he adjusts when he is not the fastest person on the field any more. Leinart is a Good QB that can probably come in a start for a team right away but needs a system that will hide his lack of arm strenth. Young IMHO has a greater upside than either of the other two BUT would benifit sitting behind another QB for a year or two to learn an NFL system Most teams will not do that since he will be a top pick and payed to much money to hold a clipboard

Two things here--why just come on here and repeat what ESPN radio says--make your own assertions and back them up. If they so happen to be the same as ESPN's, fine, but don't just say that since ESPN said it that it must be true.

And the only reason why Bush carried the ball 15-20 times a game is because that's all he needed to get 100+ yards and a few scores. The rest of his touches were in the passing game and due to his versatility he got some scores there too. That means he's getting anywhere from 15 at the least to 30 at the most touches probably in a given game...depending on how successful he's been scoring and gaining yards...this doesn't mean he's not capable of getting 40 touches a game...just means he's never needed to do it at USC, especially with all the weapons they've had. Tell you what, I'll come back in 5 years when the argument will be who the best RB is between Bush and Tomlinson.

And I only marginally disagree with you on Young, but I still feel he's got enough athleticism that if he gets with the right QB coach and really works hard, he'll be a good QB in the league. You can't teach his physical tools that he's already got, it's just going to take his hard work and a good coach to hone them into the NFL game.

I don't question many things about Bush, but I do question this one thing. He's played behind one of the best O-lines to play together in College in a long time. I can only think of the 95 Nebraska team that had a better O-Line. (Sorry after playing lineman, you tend to watch what the linemen do too). After playing behind said O-line, and you're used to having these large running lanes, what happens when you have a man in your face 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage?

A lot of people compare Bush to THE Sanders, but after watching Barry in college and pros, I don't think anyone has done/will do/can do what he did with the football. I don't think Bush has that elusiveness, nor that engine to keep going after he's hit 5 yards deep. I don't claim to know a guy's desire, but you gotta think the first time he's hit for a 5 yard loss, it's going to be a shock to him, how he responds to that will decide what type of NFL back he will be:

Barry Sanders or Eric Metcalf

2. in five years lT will be 32

IF the Titans draft him he's back with Chow--and we all have seen what he can do in that system if given the tools.

With Bush--he may get 5-10 more pounds on him, but I honestly don't think he needs it. Speed &amp; agility will be his biggest assets in the NFL.

McNair &amp; Palmer amongst others both did it. Those examples both go to show if you're patient and you try to develop the talent you've got and not throw them into the fire too early that you'll have success. If the Saints draft Young and release/demote Aaron Brooks and toss Young in right away, they'll have wasted a draft pick and hindered VY's career, IMO.

Who's to say he won't respond in the affirmative? There's nothing really backing up claiming he'll bust as soon as he gets stopped in the backfield a time or two for losses. Don't dismiss him until he's had the opportunity to show what it is he can do.

And if he ends up like Metcalf, a guy who is a RB turned WR (like Dante Hall for instance), then I think he could end up as the best crossover type player ever, returning kicks and working out of the slot and such, given his size, speed, and ability.

We could say LT did his thing at TCU with no defenses in the Mountain West/WAC against him too...but look who he is now.

And, in five years, LT could be even better than what he is now. Don't write a back off automatically because he turns 30-something--see Bettis and Curtis Martin last year, nigh unto 40.
